Swapnil Kachare, MD
Education
As a native of upstate New York, I stayed close to home at the University at Buffalo and completed a B.S. in biology and a B.A. in psychology. I then attended medical school at the University of Buffalo and stayed an additional year, earning an M.B.A. I then moved to Greenville for a general surgery residency and completed a research fellowship in surgical oncology. Afterwards, I moved to Louisville, KY, for a plastic surgery fellowship where I had the opportunity to learn under the mentorship of nationally recognized cosmetic plastic surgeons. Additional training took me to Boston, MA, where I completed a one-year fellowship in hand surgery at Harvard Medical School/Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center and a one-year fellowship in facial Aesthetic and Reconstructive Surgery at Harvard Medical School/Massachusetts General Hospital.
After over a decade of training, I returned to Greenville as an adjunct faculty member with ECU Health.
The journey so far has been humbling and rich with wonderful patients and mentors. I look forward to continuing to serve the Eastern North Carolina region.
